On arrival, we were met by the owner and his wife…. Breakfast and coffee were offered and enjoyed.
Alas…. We had to wait some more, for there were two other bulls that had to be darted and loaded first.
Finally, it was our turn…. The new owner of the Sable bull joined us.
It took some time to locate the bull in the thick brush after the heavy rains… but we finally found him, Dr. Johan Cronje from Savannah Veterinary Services darted and measured him and we loaded. Back at the farmhouse, the bull was measured again and the horns were capped and pipes fitted to protect them.
So… The “quick” turned into four hours just to load.
Traveling to his new home went without any incident…. We are sure that this big boy will sire many new calves.
Congratulations to our client on acquiring this stunning young Sable bull which measured 46 5/8″ with a 19″ tip to tip. Thank you for trusting My Wildlife SA to transport this precious cargo.
Never Quick but always fun!!!
